Suchana Seth, the CEO of Mindful AI Lab, experienced a prolonged delay in her journey from Goa's Chorla Ghat to Bengaluru due to a road accident, allowing the police to apprehend her in connection with the alleged killing of her son, as per information from police sources shared with India Today TV on Wednesday. The accident, causing a four-hour delay, enabled law enforcement to reach her before she could dispose of her son's body, according to the sources.
Seth was arrested in Chitradurga, Karnataka, on Monday night while transporting her son's body in a bag from North Goa. A Goa court granted police custody of Suchana Seth for six days on Tuesday.
On January 8, Seth fled from North Goa after checking out from the service apartment where she and her son had been residing since January 6. Despite being informed that a flight would be more economical, she insisted on booking a taxi to Bengaluru with the service apartment staff.
India Today sources claim that Seth allegedly committed the crime to prevent her estranged husband, Venkat Raman, from exercising visitation rights with their son during ongoing divorce proceedings. Raman, currently in Indonesia, spoke to his son via video call on January 7, the day before Seth left Goa. On the night of January 6, Seth reportedly texted Raman, allowing him to meet their son.
Raman, returning from Jakarta on Tuesday evening, is expected to be summoned by the police for questioning in the next two to three days, as per police sources.
