Most Muslims support the Ram temple in Ayodhya: a Muslim organization affiliated with the RSS

On Saturday, the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), an organization linked to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), asserted that a majority of Muslims across the country believed that Lord Ram is a figure belonging to "everyone" and expressed their support for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya. The MRM, in collaboration with a charitable trust based in Gujarat, conducted a survey and presented its findings, contending that members of the minority community advocated for a complete boycott of "so-called" Ulemas, Maulanas, and opposition leaders who exploit Islam for political gains.

Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar, leading the MRM, stated that the survey revealed that 74 percent of Muslims expressed happiness about the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and 72 percent showed support for the Modi government. The statement from the MRM suggested that 26 percent of Muslims lacked confidence in the Modi government and expressed concerns about "religious fanaticism." These respondents, while acknowledging Ram as a matter of faith, indicated a lack of intention to visit the Ram temple and exhibited distrust toward the Modi government, according to the MRM.

The organization disclosed that the 'Ram Jan Survey' was conducted by the Ayurveda Foundation Charitable Trust across various regions, including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, and other northeastern states, gathering opinions from 10,000 individuals.

According to the MRM, 70 percent of Muslims in the survey felt that India had emerged as a global power. However, the organization criticized certain individuals with "destructive and disruptive thinking," accusing them of spreading hatred instead of love. The named individuals included Maulana Madani, (Asaduddin) Owaisi, Badruddin Ajmal, Akhilesh Yadav, Lalu Yadav, and leaders of the Congress and the NCP. The MRM called for the complete boycott of the aforementioned "so-called" Ulemas, Maulanas, and opposition leaders involved in political activities under the guise of Islam.
