Suchana Seth, charged with killing her son, is brought to a flat in Goa to reenact the crime scene

Suchana Seth, a woman hailing from Bengaluru and facing charges of allegedly murdering her four-year-old son at a service apartment in Goa, underwent a process orchestrated by the police on Friday. This involved her being escorted to the crime scene to assist in recreating the sequence of events that transpired.

The arrest of Seth, who serves as the CEO of an AI start-up, took place on Monday, with accusations suggesting her involvement in the tragic demise of her son, purportedly motivated by a desire to prevent her estranged husband from meeting the child. Law enforcement authorities intercepted her in Chitradurga while she was en route from Goa to Bengaluru, carrying a bag containing her son's lifeless body.

Initially, Suchana Seth exhibited reluctance to cooperate with the police, vehemently denying any connection to her son's untimely death, as per information from sources close to the investigation.

The discovery of the crime unfolded when the staff at the Goa service apartment, during their routine cleaning, observed red stains that raised concerns. The staff's suspicion grew as Seth had checked into the apartment accompanied by her son but was found alone during the check-out process. During her departure, she insisted on a taxi despite the staff's suggestion of a more economical flight to Bengaluru.

Preliminary findings from the investigation indicated that Suchana Seth and her husband had initiated divorce proceedings. Allegedly dissatisfied with a court order granting her estranged husband visitation rights with their son every Sunday, she reportedly devised a plan to end her son's life just a day before the scheduled meeting.

The Goa Police revealed on Thursday that a handwritten letter was discovered in the bag containing the deceased child. The letter, crafted with an eyeliner, expressed frustration with the court's order regarding her husband's visitation. Disturbingly, it was disclosed on Friday that Seth initially attempted to conceal her son's body within the bag during a police inspection. The bag initially held toys and clothes on the surface, with the boy's lifeless body concealed beneath. Subsequently, upon further examination requested by law enforcement, the true contents of the bag were revealed.
