The Goa housing complex where the CEO of Bengaluru killed his 4-year-old kid was off-limits to guests

The proprietor of 'Sol Banyan Grande,' the establishment in Goa where a CEO allegedly murdered her four-year-old son, has issued instructions to the security personnel, directing them not to permit entry to anyone, particularly members of the media. As per eyewitness accounts quoted by the PTI news agency, the building in North Goa, which accommodated the service apartment, is now inaccessible to visitors, as the security guards have been instructed to enforce strict entry restrictions. However, the existing guests residing on the premises will be allowed to continue their stay, according to the report.

Suchana Seth, the CEO in question, was apprehended on charges of murdering her son, and she was intercepted by the police in Karnataka's Chitradurga while en route from Goa to Bengaluru with her son's body concealed in a bag. Seth, who had checked into the service apartment on January 6, was arrested on Monday before reaching her destination. Following her arrest in Chitradurga, she was transported from Karnataka to Goa on Tuesday and subsequently remanded in police custody for six days.

After confirmation of the news regarding Seth being found with her deceased child in Chitradurga, a team of forensic experts conducted an inspection of the service apartment. As reported by a senior police official to PTI, the forensic team revisited the apartment on Tuesday for further examination.

The crime came to light when the staff at the service apartment notified the police upon discovering red stains in the room where Suchana Seth had stayed. The police indicated that the bloodstains found on a towel in the service apartment were the result of Seth attempting suicide by slashing her wrist. Initial investigations suggest that Seth smothered her son to death in the room and then attempted suicide by cutting her left wrist with a sharp object.

Sources suggest that Seth, who is estranged from her husband, committed the alleged murder to prevent him from exercising his visitation rights with their son, given their ongoing divorce proceedings. The estranged husband, Venkat Raman, was abroad in Jakarta, Indonesia, at the time of the incident, and he returned to India on Tuesday after being informed about the tragic event. Venkat Raman consented to the local authorities in Chitradurga conducting an autopsy on his son's body upon his arrival.
