The 'Namo Bharat' train will be featured in the UP tableau for the Republic Day parade

The tableau representing Uttar Pradesh in the 75th Republic Day parade on January 26 will be dedicated to the theme 'Viksit Bharat: Samriddh Virasat'. This showcase aims to depict the pride of the nation by highlighting various projects and achievements contributing to its rich heritage. One significant element featured in the tableau will be a glimpse of the 'Namo Bharat Train,' inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) in October 2023.

The tableau is designed to provide a visual representation of the Namo Bharat Train, which is a key component of the RRTS. Specifically, it will include a display featuring the Sahibabad Station of the Regional Rapid Transit System and the Namo Bharat train, which originates from this station. The train currently operates along a 17-km stretch from Sahibabad to the Duhai Depot in Uttar Pradesh.

Trials are currently underway for an additional 25 km stretch beyond Duhai, extending to the Meerut South RRTS station. Soon, the Namo Bharat trains are expected to become operational on this extended section. The tableau aims to capture the significance of this modern and efficient transportation system, showcasing the advancements and developmental initiatives undertaken in Uttar Pradesh.

It is noteworthy that the Regional Rapid Transit System is not limited to the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor; it also encompasses the Delhi-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat corridors. Furthermore, there are plans to introduce RRTS systems in various other parts of the country, signifying a broader vision for the modernization of transportation infrastructure across India.
