The Vibrant Gujarat Summit, attended by delegates from over 130 countries, featured a warm welcome from Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who acknowledged the successful outreach of India's G20 presidency. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani affirmed the company's significant investments in Gujarat, emphasizing its status as a Gujarati company.
Prominent figures present at the summit included Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, Mozambique President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, and President of Timor-Leste José Ramos-Horta, among others. The event, marked as the largest gathering in its biennial history, hosted discussions and conferences on various global themes such as Industry 4.0, Technology and Innovation, Sustainable Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen, Electric Mobility, and Renewable Energy.
International corporations like Microsoft, Nasdaq, Google, and Suzuki participated in the summit, reflecting its global significance. Key Indian executives, including Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani, and Natarajan Chandrasekaran, attended the event.
Extensive security measures were implemented, featuring 3-D mapping of venues with drones, decentralized command and control centers, and CCTV cameras at strategic locations. The summit aimed to build on Gujarat's recent foreign investment success, securing around $34 billion between 2019 and 2023, ranking as the third-highest recipient among Indian states during that period.
