Truck flips over on Mumbra Bypass, crashing into oncoming traffic carrying 31 tonnes of metal plates


On Thursday, a trailer truck, laden with a cargo of 31 tonnes of metal plates, experienced an overturning mishap on the Mumbra Bypass, resulting in a temporary traffic flow disturbance, as an official reported.

The incident unfolded at 6 am when the driver, Budhram Singh, reportedly lost control of the vehicle, according to Yasin Tadvi, the chief of Thane Municipal Corporation's regional disaster management cell. Subsequently, Singh sustained injuries and was promptly admitted to the hospital for medical attention.

Providing further details, Tadvi mentioned that en route from Haryana to Kalamboli, the truck faced an unfortunate accident. In response to the situation, efforts were undertaken to rectify the truck's position, and traffic disruptions were alleviated after a certain period. The incident underscored the challenges faced by drivers and the subsequent impact on traffic dynamics, albeit being a transient disruption.
