Uttar Pradesh ayurvedic doctor shot and killed by men on bikes


In the city of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, a tragic incident unfolded on Thursday as a 35-year-old Ayurveda doctor named Dr. Tilakdhari Singh Patel met a fatal end. The unfortunate event transpired around 2:30 am in the Jalalpur area when three assailants on bikes entered Dr. Patel's residence, which was situated in the same building as his clinic, and mercilessly shot him dead, as reported by Superintendent of Police (City) Brijesh Kumar Gautam.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, it was revealed that Dr. Patel, a holder of a BAMS degree, had been providing healthcare services through his clinic 'Sai Chikitsalaya' for the past eight years. Notably, he operated his practice from a rented accommodation. According to local accounts, Dr. Patel's altruistic nature was evident in his habit of keeping the doors of his residence open at night, aiming to assist patients in case of emergencies.

The motive behind this heinous act remains shrouded in mystery, with the authorities yet to ascertain the reasons behind Dr. Patel's tragic demise. In light of the ongoing investigation, the body has been sent for post-mortem examination to glean further insights into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The police are diligently pursuing the culprits who, immediately following the crime, managed to evade capture and are currently on the run. Efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects, and the community is awaiting justice for the untimely loss of the esteemed Ayurveda practitioner.
