"What is your feeling, Tejashwi Yadav?" Asaduddin Owaisi claims the coup in Bihar is retaliation

Amidst the recent political upheaval in Bihar, Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, resurfaced past grievances from 2022 when four members of his party's legislative assembly defected to the RJD, prompting Owaisi to take a veiled swipe at Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister.

In an interview with news agency ANI, Owaisi pondered aloud, directing his inquiry to Tejashwi Yadav, questioning whether Yadav now understands the anguish of losing party members, considering the parallel with his own experience. Owaisi remarked on the symmetry of the situation, insinuating that Yadav had tasted the same bitter pill of betrayal as the AIMIM had previously endured.

Owaisi's reference harkened back to the pivotal moment in June 2022, when four AIMIM MLAs defected to the RJD, significantly altering the political landscape and diminishing AIMIM's representation in the Bihar Assembly. This strategic move bolstered the RJD's position as the foremost political entity in Bihar and bolstered Tejashwi Yadav's appeal among Muslim constituents.

Expressing palpable disappointment, Owaisi lamented the perceived betrayal suffered by the Muslim electorate in Bihar, asserting that such political maneuvering merely reinforces the cyclical disillusionment experienced by marginalized communities. He underscored AIMIM's long-standing stance on the exploitation of political secularism to the detriment of Muslim interests in India.

Furthermore, Owaisi didn't spare criticism for Tejashwi Yadav and his family, accusing them of marginalizing the broader populace of Bihar in pursuit of familial political aspirations. He decried the purported absence of genuine development initiatives in Bihar, highlighting a perceived surge in bureaucratic influence within the state.

Owaisi's reproach extended to Nitish Kumar, whom he depicted as a figurehead rather than an effective leader, suggesting that governance under Kumar's stewardship would be dictated by the agenda of the RSS and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Reflecting on Nitish Kumar's political trajectory, Owaisi expressed little surprise at the Chief Minister's latest volte-face, citing a pattern of untrustworthiness and opportunism. He emphasized his longstanding assertion regarding Kumar's alliance preferences, predicting the alignment with the BJP and questioning Kumar's reliability as a political ally.

The resignation and subsequent reappointment of Nitish Kumar as Bihar's Chief Minister served as a stark illustration of the volatility within the state's political arena, marking Kumar's ninth ascension to the office since March 2000 and his third since 2020.
