Acharya Pramod Krishnam, having faced expulsion from the Congress due to his expressions contrary to the party's stance, expressed gratitude on Sunday for what he termed as the party's "relief," further affirming his unwavering allegiance to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that he intends to remain aligned with him indefinitely.
Speaking to news agency ANI, he articulated his decision, stating, "At this stage of my life, I am making a commitment to stand by Narendra Modi for the rest of my life."
Reflecting on his expulsion from the Congress, Krishnam acknowledged that he was informed through a letter yesterday about the party's decision to expel him for six years, citing his alleged anti-party activities. However, rather than expressing remorse, Krishnam seized the opportunity to thank the Congress for what he perceived as liberation from the party's constraints.
Challenging the rationale behind his expulsion, Krishnam directed questions towards Congress leaders such as Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal, seeking clarification on what constitutes anti-party activities. He cited instances such as invoking Lord Ram's name and visiting Ayodhya as examples of actions that should not be construed as being against the party's interests.
Expressing dissent with certain decisions made by the Congress, particularly regarding its stance on the abrogation of Article 370 and its support for DMK leaders who likened Sanatana Dharma to diseases like dengue and malaria, Krishnam underscored the divergence in his beliefs from the party's directives.
Krishnam further highlighted the widespread support he received from leaders within the Congress, expressing gratitude towards them. He also questioned the moral integrity of individuals who fail to respect their own family members, suggesting a correlation between personal conduct and patriotism.
Additionally, Krishnam reiterated his commitment to the principles of "Ram and Rashtra" (Lord Ram and Nation), emphasizing his unwavering dedication to these ideals.
The official statement released on Saturday announced the Congress President's approval of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee's proposal to expel Krishnam from the party for six years, citing allegations of indiscipline and repeated public statements against the party.
In recent interactions, Krishnam has been actively engaging with Prime Minister Modi, extending an invitation for him to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Shri Kalki Dham on February 19, to which the Prime Minister responded positively, expressing gratitude for the invite and acknowledging the significance of the occasion.
Moreover, Krishnam has been vocal in his criticism of opposition leaders who opted to skip the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, asserting the pivotal role of Lord Ram in the ethos of India.
