An image of the hammer and chisel used to sculpt Ram Lalla's beautiful eyes is shared by Arun Yogiraj

Arun Yogiraj, the skilled sculptor based in Mysuru, who crafted the revered Ram Lalla idol recently enshrined at the newly constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya, divulged insights into his craftsmanship process. He shared imagery showcasing the implements employed in fashioning the deity's "divine eyes," utilizing a silver hammer and a golden chisel.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Yogiraj expressed his sentiment, stating, "I felt compelled to reveal the silver hammer and golden chisel instrumental in sculpting the divine eyes (Netronmilana) of Ram Lalla."

The intricate eyes, meticulously carved into the 51-inch idol sculpted from shyam shila (blue-black stone), deeply moved numerous devotees upon their unveiling on January 22.

The portrayal of Lord Ram in his youthful form, embellished with his iconic bow and arrow, was ceremoniously installed at the Ayodhya temple on January 18, leading up to the momentous Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22.

Following the grandeur of the installation ceremony, Arun Yogiraj expressed profound gratitude, deeming himself the "most fortunate individual on earth" and likening the experience to "living a dream." During an interview with Aaj Tak TV, the accomplished sculptor remarked that he perceived his craft as a directive from Lord Ram himself.

Yogiraj stood among the select trio of sculptors chosen by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra to undertake the sacred task of fashioning an idol of 'Ram Lalla'.
