Gujarat Chief Minister urges kids to abstain from addiction while spending the night in a rural


Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, as part of the ruling BJP's 'Gaon Chalo' initiative, has called upon the inhabitants of Jalotra village situated in Banaskantha district to embrace the practices of drip irrigation and organic farming. Additionally, he has earnestly implored the younger generation to eschew addiction and prioritize their educational pursuits.

During his sojourn in the village, the Chief Minister dedicatedly participated in various activities, including a night spent there as a gesture of solidarity with the community. Commencing the campaign with prayers at a local temple, Patel actively engaged in a cleanliness drive, emphasizing the government's unwavering commitment to expeditiously addressing pending projects.

Expressing confidence in the BJP's endeavors under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Patel stressed the imperative of collective efforts to fortify the party's stature, thereby actualizing the vision of a 'developed Gujarat within a developed India.'

Notably, Patel shared a meal with the family of esteemed local leader Dineshbhai Bhatola, fostering camaraderie and solidarity with the grassroots.

The 'Gaon Chalo Abhiyan' is strategically designed to bolster grassroots support across Gujarat in preparation for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Over 56,700 party workers, including ministers and MLAs, have been meticulously assigned responsibilities across various electoral precincts during the campaign, spanning from February 10 to 11.

Engaging directly with constituents, CM Patel interacted with farmers, youth, women, and representatives from diverse communities, elucidating on the myriad government initiatives. He reiterated the significance of adopting sustainable agricultural practices such as drip irrigation and organic farming while passionately advocating for the youth to abstain from substance abuse.

In a gesture of appreciation, local farmers conveyed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the sanctioning of Rs 862 crore towards a water supply project, poised to benefit 125 villages in the vicinity. It's worth mentioning that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP clinched all 26 seats in the state, underscoring its formidable presence and widespread support among the electorate.
