A farmer in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, dies after becoming trapped in a thresher



In a tragic incident in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district, a farmer met with a fatal accident while threshing wheat in Shobhapur village. Radheshyam Uike, a 28-year-old farmer, was working alongside his wife and mother when the unfortunate mishap occurred.

Reports indicate that while operating the thresher, a portion of Radheshyam's body, from his head to his waist, became ensnared in the machine, resulting in his untimely demise.

Upon realizing the gravity of the situation, Radheshyam's wife and mother urgently sought assistance from locals. Despite valiant attempts by the bystanders to extricate him from the thresher, their efforts proved futile, leading to his tragic demise, as confirmed by the authorities.

Promptly responding to the distress call, personnel from the Sarni police station swiftly arrived at the scene. Following standard protocol, the deceased farmer's body was transferred to Ghoradongri Hospital for a thorough postmortem examination. Subsequently, his remains were handed over to his grieving family after the completion of the autopsy procedure.

Investigating Officer RS Amrute shed light on the preliminary findings, suggesting that the farmer's inadvertent distraction while operating the thresher may have been a contributing factor to the unfortunate accident. Authorities have assured that a comprehensive investigation into the matter is underway to ascertain all relevant details surrounding the incident.
