After an appearance by the RCB, Ramandeep Singh discloses the key to his success as a KKR finisher

Ramandeep Singh, a key player for KKR this season, attributes his success as a finisher to the guidance of Abhishek Nayar, KKR's coach. Bought in the auction by KKR, Ramandeep has been deployed as a floater in the lineup, tasked with aggressive batting from the outset. In the match against RCB at the Eden Gardens, he demonstrated this approach by scoring 24 runs off just 9 balls, contributing significantly to KKR's total of 222 runs.

Speaking after his impactful knock, Ramandeep acknowledged Nayar's role in his development, emphasizing the coach's preparation and practice sessions, which simulate match conditions.

"All credit to Abhishek Nayar sir. He prepares us for how we are supposed to play the game," said Ramandeep.

Reflecting on his innings, Ramandeep expressed his desire to capitalize on scoring opportunities, particularly against slower deliveries, which posed a challenge on the pitch. He also highlighted the presence of Sunil Narine, whom he referred to as a "legend," as another exciting aspect of the match.

"I just want to whack the ball, and luckily today was my day. Slow bumpers were not easy to hit, so I guess that's where we are going to go. 222 is a really good total I think, and unless it's a yorker, pace-on is really easy to hit on this wicket. We've got a legend in the side in Narine, and we will want to watch the legend on show today," added Ramandeep.

During his innings, Ramandeep showcased his aggressive intent by hitting two boundaries and two sixes, with particular success against Mohammed Siraj in the 19th over, where he dispatched him for two consecutive sixes.
