After his daughter is killed, JP Nadda meets with Congress Corporator and extends his sympathies

Neha Hiremath, aged 23 and the daughter of Karnataka Congress Corporator Niranjan Hiremath, tragically lost her life in a gruesome incident at her college campus in Hubballi. The perpetrator, identified as Fayaz, a former classmate of Neha's, fatally stabbed her, prompting widespread condemnation and calls for justice.

Expressing solidarity with the grieving family, BJP national president JP Nadda visited them to offer condolences. He decried the incident as shocking and condemned the statements made by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister G Parameshwara, which, according to him, undermined the ongoing investigation. Nadda called for a fair and impartial inquiry, suggesting that if the Karnataka Police were deemed incapable, the case should be handed over to the CBI.

Neha, pursuing her first-year Masters of Computer Applications (MCA) degree at BVB College, was viciously attacked by Fayaz, her ex-classmate, as captured by CCTV footage. Despite efforts to save her, Neha succumbed to her injuries upon arrival at the hospital.

The tragic incident has stirred outrage, with allegations of stalking preceding the attack. While Fayaz has been apprehended, conflicting narratives have emerged regarding the nature of his relationship with Neha. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara suggested that they were in a relationship, while others dispute this claim.

In response to Neha's untimely demise, members of various student and political groups have taken to the streets, demanding justice and advocating for stringent punishment for the perpetrator. ABVP members and BJP supporters staged protests, urging authorities to ensure swift action in the case.
