An UP man chews off a shopkeeper's finger during a disagreement about Rs 50

In a shocking turn of events in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district, a man resorted to extreme violence over a trivial dispute regarding a frock purchase, resulting in the gruesome act of biting off the fingers of a shopkeeper.

The unsettling incident unfolded when Shivchandra Karwaria, a garment shop owner, encountered a customer seeking to buy a frock. Following the transaction, the customer left the shop, seemingly without issue. However, the situation took a drastic turn the next day when the customer returned, expressing dissatisfaction with the size of the purchased frock and requesting a larger one.

Upon being informed of the need to pay an additional Rs 50 for the larger-sized frock, a dispute erupted between the customer and Karwaria. Amidst the escalating argument over the nominal sum, the situation spiraled out of control, culminating in the unimaginable act of the customer biting off the top finger of Karwaria's left hand. Shockingly, the assailant also inflicted injuries on Karwaria's son through a similar act of biting.

To exacerbate the situation further, the assailant callously discarded the shopkeeper's merchandise onto the road before making threats and fleeing the scene.

In the aftermath of the ordeal, Karwaria promptly sought recourse by lodging a formal complaint at a nearby police station, detailing the horrifying sequence of events.

Station House Officer (SHO) Suresh Saini of Kotwali Naraini confirmed the registration of a case based on Karwaria's grievance, assuring that law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing the culprit. Legal repercussions await the apprehension of the accused, underscoring the gravity of the offense committed.
