In an Odisha gunfight with police troops, two Maoists were killed



In a clash between Maoists and security forces in Odisha's Boudh district, at least two Maoists were killed early on Thursday, according to police reports.

The confrontation occurred in the Parhel reserve forest area under the jurisdiction of the Kantamal Police Station, where Maoists engaged in an exchange of fire with members of Odisha’s elite Special Operation Group (SOG).

A senior officer stated that during the operation, two Maoist bodies were found at the site along with arms, grenades, and other items.

As of Thursday morning, the operation was still ongoing.
