Man in UP dies after being beaten by his wife's family over a wedding present for his sister



In an unsettling incident reported from Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki, a man was purportedly subjected to a brutal assault by his wife and her relatives, reportedly stemming from a disagreement over a wedding gift he intended to bestow upon his sister. According to the authorities, the altercation escalated to a tragic outcome, resulting in the loss of the man's life.

Police officials disclosed that five individuals, including the victim's wife and brother, were apprehended in connection with the incident. The sequence of events unfolded on Tuesday, as Kshama Mishra convened her brother and a select group of relatives at her residence in Kadarabad following a heated dispute with her husband, Chandra Prakash Mishra.

According to statements provided to law enforcement, Chandra expressed his desire to present his sister with an LED TV and a gold ring as a gesture of goodwill for her upcoming nuptials on April 26. However, his spouse, Kshama, voiced opposition to this proposition, leading to a confrontation.

The Police Circle Officer, Dr. Binu Singh, revealed that amidst the disagreement, Chandra confronted the interference of Kshama's relatives in the matter, which allegedly triggered a violent assault. It is reported that the assailants wielded sticks, inflicting severe injuries upon Chandra during the altercation.

Upon receiving notification of the incident, law enforcement swiftly intervened, transporting Chandra to a medical facility for urgent treatment. Tragically, despite the efforts made to save him, Chandra succumbed to his injuries, marking a grievous loss.

Authorities have initiated an interrogation process with all implicated individuals, and a comprehensive investigation into the matter is currently underway to ascertain the full extent of the circumstances surrounding this distressing event.
