Salman Khan firing case: Bullets and pistols found in a Gujarat river

In a significant development, the Mumbai Police's crime branch has made headway in the investigation into the firing incident outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence. During a diligent search operation conducted in the Tapi River in Gujarat, the authorities recovered two pistols, along with magazines and bullets allegedly linked to the shooting incident.

The operation, spearheaded by a team of 12 officials, including renowned 'encounter specialist' senior police inspector Daya Nayak, commenced on Monday and remains ongoing. Utilizing the expertise of scuba divers, the search efforts have yielded fruitful results, with the recovery of two pistols, three magazines, and 13 bullets.

The incident, which occurred on April 14 outside Salman Khan's residence at the Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai's Bandra area, led to the arrest of two suspects, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal. The duo allegedly fired shots outside Khan's house before making their escape on a motorbike. However, they were apprehended on April 16 at Mata No Madh near Bhuj town in Gujarat, thanks to joint efforts by the Mumbai and Kutch police.

During interrogation, Gupta and Pal disclosed that they disposed of the weapon into the Tapi River from a railway bridge while fleeing to Bhuj. Their motive, as revealed by sources, was to instill fear and panic through their actions.

Notably, the Mumbai police have identified jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi as "wanted accused" in connection with the incident. Gupta and Pal allegedly received instructions from the Bishnoi brothers, who are believed to be influential figures in the criminal underworld.

While Lawrence Bishnoi is currently incarcerated in the Sabarmati Central Prison in Gujarat, his brother is suspected to be residing in either Canada or the United States. As the investigation progresses, authorities are leaving no stone unturned in unraveling the complexities surrounding this high-profile case.
