Poor Kharge ji: Amit Shah says Congress would hold the veteran accountable for the poll defeat

Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a scathing attack on Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, cautioning him against propagating falsehoods in support of the Gandhi family. Shah warned Kharge that despite his loyalty, he would ultimately be made a scapegoat by the Gandhi family for the Congress's impending defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, with results slated for June 4.

In his criticism, Shah highlighted Kharge's recent remarks targeting the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He questioned Kharge's assertions about the BJP's policies adversely affecting the poor, countering with examples of government initiatives that have directly benefited millions of underprivileged citizens. Shah challenged Kharge to justify his allegations in the face of tangible evidence of social welfare programs implemented by the Modi government.

Shah further questioned Kharge's allegiance to the Gandhi family, insinuating that the Congress president's defense of the family's interests through falsehoods was ultimately detrimental to Kharge's own political standing. He warned Kharge that while the Gandhi siblings, Rahul and Priyanka, would remain unscathed by the party's defeat, Kharge, despite his years of service, would bear the brunt of the blame.

Amit Shah delivered these remarks during a campaign rally in Katghora, Chhattisgarh, underscoring the BJP's commitment to countering what it perceives as baseless accusations from the opposition and asserting its stance on social welfare initiatives aimed at uplifting the poor and marginalized sections of society.
