Vishnu Manchu and his team visited Kedarnath-Badrinath prior of Kannappa's release



Telugu actor **Vishnu Manchu** recently embarked on a pilgrimage to **Kedarnath** and **Badrinath** with his team to seek blessings for his upcoming film **Kannappa**, which centers on the life of a devoted follower of the Hindu god Shiva. This journey marks the beginning of Vishnu's quest to visit the 12 Jyotirlingas, starting with the holy site of Kedarnath. He shared a video of the pilgrimage on social media, captioning it, "Started the journey of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The first one to visit is the holy #Kedarnath. Prayed for #Kannappa and the journey it's going to take."

Accompanying Vishnu were director **Mukesh Kumar Singh**, producer and his father **Mohan Babu**, and actor **Arpit Ranka**. The film’s official Instagram account also highlighted their spiritual journey, stating, "Seeking blessings for an epic tale! @vishnumanchu and team Kannappa’s sacred journey to #Kedarnath and #Badrinath. #HarHarMahadev."

Both Kedarnath and Badrinath hold immense significance in Hinduism, being part of the Char Dham pilgrimage. They attract millions of devotees annually, with the journey considered a path to moksha, located in the scenic Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.

Regarding **Kannappa**, a teaser for the film was released in June 2024, showcasing breathtaking visuals and action sequences featuring Vishnu Manchu in the titular role. The teaser also included glimpses of cameos by prominent actors **Mohanlal**, **Prabhas**, and **Akshay Kumar**. While the team initially aimed for a theatrical release in December 2024, official confirmation regarding the release date is still pending. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film promises to deliver an engaging narrative supported by a star-studded cast.
