The complaint added further urgency to the matter, with Baliawal calling for swift action from the Punjab Police, Cyber Cell, and national security agencies to track the perpetrators behind the incident. He demanded that the IP and MAC addresses of those responsible be traced and criminal charges pressed. Additionally, he urged Aamir Khan Productions to issue a public condemnation of the incident and clarify the actor's non-involvement in the matter.
Aamir Khan's spokesperson issued an official statement to clear the air, strongly rejecting any association with the fake poster. The statement read: "The poster showing Aamir Khan as Guru Nanak is completely fake and AI-generated. Aamir Khan has no connection to any such project. He holds the highest respect for Guru Nanak and would never be part of anything disrespectful. Please don't fall for fake news."
