Gussa fir se jaaga hai, huh? Regarding the Pahalgam incident at the Kesari 2 screening, Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar recently attended a screening of his upcoming film Kesari Chapter 2 in Mumbai, where he shared a heartfelt address with the audience, condemning the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. Alongside his co-star Madhavan, Akshay expressed his anger over the attack, which resulted in the tragic loss of 26 lives. He drew a connection between the emotions of his character in the film and the collective anger people are feeling in response to the act of terrorism.

In his speech, Akshay said, “Unfortunately aaj bhi humare sab ke dil mein woh gussa phir se jaga hain. Aap sab log achchi tarah se jaante he main kis cheez ki baat kar raha hoon. Aaj bhi hum un terrorists o ko ek hi baat kehna chahenge. Jo maine iss film mein kahi he, kya” (Even today, we feel that same anger all over again. You all know exactly what I am talking about. Today, I want to say the same words to the terrorists that I have said in the film). This statement was made in light of the Pahalgam attack, which took place in the Baisaran valley, a well-known tourist spot in Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday.

Earlier, Akshay had expressed his shock and condemnation of the attack on social media, offering his prayers for the victims' families and expressing his horror at the incident.

Kesi Chapter 2 is based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. The film delves into the historical fight by C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer, against the British Raj, particularly his efforts to uncover the truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Akshay portrays Nair, an important figure in India's history, and his performance is expected to be a significant part of the film's narrative.
