Sanju Samson won't be going to Bengaluru for the RCB vs. RR match in the 2025 IPL

Sanju Samson, the captain of Rajasthan Royals, will not be traveling to Bengaluru for their upcoming match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 24. Samson had been injured during Rajasthan's match against Delhi Capitals, where he was struck on the ribs and had to retire hurt after facing just 19 balls. He later reported abdominal pain, which led to his being rested for the subsequent game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Samson is currently undergoing recovery at the team’s home base with medical staff and will not join the squad for the match against RCB as part of his ongoing rehabilitation process. In his absence, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made a strong impression, scoring 34 off 20 balls during the game against LSG. Although Suryavanshi's partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal added 85 runs, they were unable to secure a win for Rajasthan.

Earlier rumors regarding a rift between Samson and Rahul Dravid surfaced following the DC match, but Dravid addressed these speculations, labeling them as baseless ahead of the LSG game.

Rajasthan Royals will return home after the RCB match to face Gujarat Titans in Jaipur.
