Aakash Chopra has predicted Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to finish as the top two teams in IPL 2025 and face off in the final. Despite a slow start where MI won only 1 of their first 5 matches, they bounced back impressively with six consecutive wins, including a key victory over Delhi Capitals, securing their playoff spot.
With just one league game left, MI can clinch a top-two finish by beating Punjab Kings in Jaipur, which would also put them at the top of the points table. Meanwhile, RCB can also secure the top spot by winning their last match against Lucknow Super Giants.
Chopra noted Mumbai’s current momentum as unstoppable, calling them a "juggernaut," which gives them a slight edge. Both teams will meet in Qualifier 1 on May 29 at Mullanpur, Chandigarh, setting up a high-stakes clash on the road to the IPL final.
