The Oscar-nominated film's director At the Cannes Film Festival, Putul will reveal her next project


Indira Dhar, the acclaimed filmmaker known for her Bengali debut Putul—which was even in contention for the Oscars—is now gearing up to make a significant mark in mainstream Hindi cinema. Her upcoming film, titled Echoes of Valour, is set to have its first look revealed at a special event during the Cannes Film Festival 2025, where the title will also be publicly announced for the first time.

This transition represents a major milestone in Indira’s career, moving from self-funded independent films to showcasing her work on one of the world’s most prestigious cinematic platforms. Echoes of Valour stars renowned actors Divya Dutta and Neeraj Kabi in a deeply moving biopic centered on an Indian Army family. The film promises to deliver a powerful narrative exploring themes of love, resilience, and sacrifice.
