Two delegations travel to Japan and the United Arab Emirates as part of India's Operation Sindoor outreach

India has officially launched Operation Sindoor, a global diplomatic outreach initiative aimed at exposing Pakistan’s role in sponsoring terrorism, by dispatching multiple all-party delegations to key countries. The operation kicked off today with two delegations set to depart:

  • Sanjay Jha, JD(U) leader, will lead a team departing for Japan at 11:40 AM. His delegation will also visit Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

  • Shrikant Shinde, Shiv Sena MP, will head another team scheduled to leave for the UAE at 9 PM, with plans to visit several African nations as well.

Briefing and Mission Objectives

Before departure, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri briefed members, MPs, and former parliamentarians from three of the seven delegations. In his remarks, Misri emphasized:

India is committed to peace, but will not tolerate terrorism. Any attack on its soil will be met with firm retaliation — this is the country's new normal.”

Delegation Goals

  • Sanjay Jha stated that the delegations are carrying a unified message: “Enough is enough.” He sharply criticized Pakistan, likening it to a "thief asked to probe his own crime", in reference to its repeated failures to act on terror assurances.

  • Shrikant Shinde said they will present concrete evidence of Pakistan’s role in terrorism, not just in India but also in crimes against humanity abroad.

  • Congress leader Salman Khurshid, a member of Jha's delegation, emphasized that no third-party mediation was involved in the decision to halt military escalations with Pakistan. He clarified that the decision to de-escalate came mutually from both sides, initiated by the Pakistan DGMO and agreed to by India.

Dossiers and Diplomacy

Sources revealed that each delegation will carry dossiers with evidence detailing Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism. These dossiers may be translated into the official languages of the host nations to ensure clarity and effectiveness during diplomatic engagements.

Further briefings will be held before official meetings with foreign lawmakers and government representatives, ensuring all members are equipped to make a compelling case.

This marks a significant effort by India to internationalize its counter-terrorism narrative, directly engaging with global capitals to build pressure on Pakistan and strengthen diplomatic alliances.
