Day 6 box office receipts for Sitaare Zameen Par: Aamir Khan's film remains stable during the week

Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par is heading into its second weekend on a strong note, having crossed ₹80 crore nett in its first week. The film has maintained solid weekday performance, collecting ₹8.5 crore nett each on Monday and Tuesday, and ₹7.25 crore on Wednesday. Its six-day total now stands at ₹82.40 crore nett.

• Saturday: ₹20.2 crore

• Sunday: ₹27.25 crore

Directed by RS Prasanna, this social comedy is eyeing the ₹100 crore mark, with expectations high for the second weekend.

However, its theatrical run may face some competition from Kajol’s horror drama Maa, releasing this Friday. The impact of Maa will largely depend on audience response and word-of-mouth.

Meanwhile, Sitaare Zameen Par is also expected to surpass the lifetime collection of Aamir Khan’s 2008 blockbuster Ghajini, which ended at ₹114 crore nett. If current trends continue, SZP could cross that benchmark by the end of its second weekend.
