In Andhra Pradesh, the cost of a ticket to Vishnu Manchu's Kannappa was increased by Rs 50

Vishnu Manchu’s much-anticipated mythological epic Kannappa is all set for a grand theatrical release on June 27, 2025, and advance bookings officially opened on June 25. In a significant move to support the film’s launch, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has approved a ₹50 hike in ticket prices (plus GST) for multiplexes and single screens across the state. This price increase applies only to higher class tickets and is valid for 10 days from the release date.

The official government order, issued in response to a request from Mohan Babu, the producer of the film under the Twenty Four Frames Factory banner, temporarily relaxes earlier ticket pricing guidelines for the movie’s initial run.

Key Cast and Roles:

  • Vishnu Manchu as the titular Kannappa

  • Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva

  • Kajal Aggarwal as Parvati

  • Mohan Babu as Mahadeva Shastri

  • Sarath Kumar as Nathanathudu

  • Prabhas in a special role as Rudra

About the film:
Kannappa is based on the revered tale of Thinnandu, a tribal hunter who evolves from a staunch non-believer into an ultimate devotee of Lord Shiva, embodying the legend of Bhakta Kannappa from Hindu mythology. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film blends grand visuals with spiritual depth and is expected to draw large audiences, especially given its pan-Indian appeal and mythological themes.

With its stellar cast, epic storyline, and government backing through ticket price relaxation, Kannappa is poised for a strong start at the box office.
