Amaal Mallik’s recent revelations about his uncle Anu Malik have stirred deep emotional and professional conversations within the Indian music industry. He accused Anu Malik of deliberate professional sabotage that deeply affected his father, Daboo Malik, both career-wise and emotionally. According to Amaal, Anu not only undercut Daboo by underbidding or working for free on projects meant for him, but also contributed to his father's prolonged battle with depression, which lasted from the age of 32 to 45. These experiences, witnessed during Amaal’s formative years, became a defining influence on his own aspirations and moral compass.
Amaal also addressed how the rivalry wasn't limited to his father's career. He alleged that Anu Malik interfered in his own professional journey too, though he noted that his uncle does respect his musical accomplishments.
