Dilip Joshi attends the success of the concert and denies rumors that Taarak Mehta is leaving.

Dilip Joshi, who plays the iconic role of Jethalal in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has firmly denied rumours about his exit from the show. His presence at a celebration hosted by Neela Film Productions on July 22 — alongside his wife Jaymala Joshi — put speculations to rest. The event marked the ongoing success of the show, which has been entertaining audiences for 17 years.

Joining him at the event were other key cast members like Munmun Dutta (Babita Ji), Amit Bhatt (Champak Lal Gada), and Shyam Pathak (Popatlal). Their appearance confirmed their continued association with the series, despite online speculation suggesting otherwise.

The rumours began circulating in June after fans noticed the absence of Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta from the “Bhootni” storyline, which featured other characters vacationing at a haunted bungalow. Their absence led to assumptions that they might be planning to leave the show.

However, the show’s producer, Asit Kumarr Modi, had already addressed these rumours earlier. He urged fans to avoid negativity and reassured viewers that both actors remain committed to the series, which he described as a “family show that spreads happiness.”

Despite past cast changes, the core team’s continued presence — including Joshi’s — signals that the show remains on a steady course, focusing on positivity and long-standing viewer loyalty.
