Varun Dhawan recently delighted fans with a heartwarming gesture at the airport after wrapping up the Pune schedule of his upcoming war drama, Border 2. While making his way through a crowd of admirers, Dhawan paused to interact with fans, including a woman and her two children. One of the children, captivated by the actor’s stylish reflective sunglasses, was overjoyed when Dhawan spontaneously gifted them to him. The young fan’s beaming smile, wearing the gifted shades, quickly went viral across social media platforms, especially after being posted by the fan page ‘Varun Ki Madhu’ on X.
Dhawan, dressed in a pink-and-black co-ord outfit paired with matching pink sneakers, was praised online for the sweet moment. Fans flooded the post with comments, calling the gesture “adorable” and joking that the child would now sport eyewear worth a lakh rupees.
Earlier, Dhawan had shared a playful behind-the-scenes video from the set in Pune with co-star Ahan Shetty, sipping tea and enjoying biscuits, captioned humorously: "Chai aur bizkoot. It’s a wrap for me at NDA. Aur humna celebrate kiya bizkoot ke saith.”
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is a spiritual successor to the 1997 classic Border and also stars Sunny Deol and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is set for release in January 2026.
In addition to Border 2, Dhawan is gearing up for the romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor and directed by Shashank Khaitan. That film is scheduled to hit theatres on September 12.
