Four men of Indian origin have been arrested and charged in connection with a violent armed attack that took place in Bilston, near Wolverhampton, in England. According to West Midlands Police, officers were called following reports of a large-scale disorder involving several individuals armed with bladed weapons. Six people were initially arrested in connection with the attack, but two of them were later released on bail. The four who have been formally charged were identified as Hardeep Singh, aged 28, from Hounslow; Harpeet Singh, aged 25, from Leicester; Mukesh Kumar, aged 30, from Wolverhampton; and Lakwinder Singh, aged 26, from Smethwick. All four suspects were charged with violent disorder, wounding, and possession of an offensive weapon, as confirmed by official police statements reported by the BBC.
The accused men were scheduled to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where the charges against them would be formally addressed. Police sources revealed that two of the suspects had been apprehended with the assistance of a trained police dog during the operation. The violent clash occurred early on Friday morning and quickly escalated, resulting in three individuals being hospitalized. Fortunately, the injuries sustained were not considered life-threatening, according to the police. In addition, officers recovered a firearm from Arbour Drive, which is also under investigation as part of the case.
