Ahead of his meeting, Zelenskyy openly expressed his belief in Trump’s ability to bring about meaningful change in the situation. Speaking on Monday, he emphasized that the United States President possesses the necessary strength to compel Russia to end the ongoing war and restore peace in the region. Taking to social media platform X, Zelenskyy stated that Russia could only be driven toward peace through the use of strength, and in his view, President Trump embodies that very quality.
