In a letter, Sunjay Kapur's mother claims that there was a multinational conspiracy and foul play in his killing

Rani Kapur, mother of the late businessman Sunjay Kapur, has raised serious concerns regarding the circumstances surrounding her son’s death and has formally urged UK authorities to conduct a deeper criminal investigation. Sunjay Kapur died on June 12 while playing polo at the Duke’s Ground of the Old Guards Polo Club in Surrey, UK, with the cause officially listed as a heart attack. However, Rani Kapur now believes his death may not have been natural and has alleged a larger conspiracy involving murder, financial fraud, and forgery.

In a letter to the British police, she claims to have uncovered fresh evidence that casts doubt on the official narrative. According to her, forged documents, suspicious asset transfers, and questionable legal filings have emerged since her son's death. She alleges these were possibly coordinated by individuals with financial motives and potential beneficiaries of Sunjay’s demise. She also suspects coercion and collusion among parties who may have played a role in facilitating his death.

Rani Kapur further described the possibility of a transnational conspiracy, implicating individuals and entities not only in the UK but also in India and possibly the United States. Given Sunjay Kapur’s global presence—being a US citizen of Indian origin with substantial business interests across the UK, USA, India, Germany, and Singapore—she believes his expansive financial network could be central to the alleged motives behind the incident.

Calling for a full-scale investigation, she has requested the collection of all relevant medical records, financial documents, digital data, and CCTV footage, and has urged authorities to coordinate with Indian and American agencies to probe potential cross-border links. Her plea highlights a growing sense of unease within the family and a demand for clarity and accountability in what is now being viewed not just as a personal tragedy, but potentially a high-stakes international case.
