Vijay Kumar, a student from Charkhi Dadri in Haryana, was fatally stabbed in the city centre of Worcester in the United Kingdom. The attack occurred late on Saturday, and police found him with severe injuries on Barbourne Road on November 15. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his wounds.
Vijay had previously left a government job with the Central Board of Excise and Customs to pursue higher studies in the UK and was enrolled at the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol. His family is now seeking urgent diplomatic assistance to facilitate the repatriation of his body to India and has appealed for a swift and transparent investigation into the murder.
Charkhi Dadri MLA Sunil Satpal Sangwan also posted about the incident on social media, calling for government intervention to ensure that justice is served and those responsible are held fully accountable. Local police reports indicate that the stabbing followed a physical altercation, but the motive has not yet been officially confirmed. British authorities are expected to release more details as the investigation progresses.
