Amit Shah: The punishment for the Delhi explosion will deter future attacks on India

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Thursday vowed that those responsible for the car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort would face the harshest punishment, stressing that the government’s decisive action would serve as a global message against terrorism. Shah said the response would demonstrate that India will never tolerate acts of terror, and anyone attempting to harm the nation would face severe consequences.

“The action taken against the culprits will show the world that India will not tolerate terrorism in any form. The message will be clear — anyone who tries to harm our country will face the harshest consequences,” Shah declared. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to ensure strict punishment for those behind the attack would be carried out with full force.

Shah reiterated that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is advancing with a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism, alongside a strong commitment to rural development and national security.

Speaking after inaugurating the Shri Motibhai R. Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School and the Sagar Organic Plant in Gujarat via video conferencing, the Home Minister expressed deep condolences to the families of the blast victims. He underscored that the government’s priority was not only national security but also nation-building through education and empowerment.

He said the newly inaugurated Sainik School in Gujarat would inspire the country’s youth to serve in the Armed Forces and contribute to India’s defence preparedness. Shah noted that under Prime Minister Modi’s initiative to establish 100 new Sainik Schools through the public-private partnership (PPP) model, this school would be a source of pride for Mehsana and play a key role in community development.

The Home Minister also praised Dudhsagar Dairy for its contribution to Gujarat’s White Revolution, crediting it with helping transform India’s dairy economy. Shah stated that the Modi government’s vision is to ensure that half of all milk produced by cooperative societies reaches domestic and international markets, thereby boosting the income of livestock farmers.

Reaffirming the government’s dual commitment to security and empowerment, Shah said India’s progress under Modi’s leadership rests on both protecting the nation from threats and uplifting rural communities through education and economic reform.
