Trump's MRI results were absolutely normal, White House announces amid speculation

The White House on Monday issued an update confirming that President Donald Trump’s recent MRI showed excellent cardiovascular health, providing an unusually detailed breakdown of the findings. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the scan was part of Trump’s routine executive physical and was conducted as a preventive measure recommended for men in his age group. According to the statement, imaging revealed no arterial narrowing, no clotting, no inflammation, and no abnormalities in the heart or major blood vessels. Leavitt described his cardiovascular system as “excellent,” adding that abdominal scans were also normal and showed no cause for concern.

The announcement came after Trump had briefly referenced the scan over the weekend, telling reporters the MRI was “perfect” while joking that it was not of his brain because he had already taken and “aced” a cognitive test. The administration emphasized that routine scans help identify potential issues early and ensure long-term physical fitness.

The update followed renewed scrutiny of the president’s stamina after a New York Times article examined whether his age might be affecting his energy levels. Trump reacted angrily to the report and launched a personal attack on one of its authors, Katie Rogers, calling her a “third-rate reporter” and directing insults at her appearance and character. He dismissed the story as politically motivated and insisted that he is working harder than ever, citing his medical test results and workload as proof of his vitality.

In a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump once again labeled the New York Times “an enemy of the people,” defended his stamina, and repeated his disputed claim that he won all seven swing states and the popular vote in the 2024 election. He added that a time will come when his energy declines, but argued that it is “certainly not now.”
