The makers of Dhurandhar: The Revenge have confirmed its release for March 19, and the sequel is already creating strong anticipation among audiences. Reports indicate that a major promotional push is set to begin around Holi, with the trailer expected to drop on March 3 through a direct digital launch rather than a traditional red carpet event.
According to media reports, the promotional strategy aims to generate momentum ahead of the festival period. Earlier, a teaser for the film was released, drawing mixed reactions online. Some viewers pointed out that it closely resembled the post-credit scene from the first instalment.
The upcoming trailer is expected to offer a deeper look into Hamza’s expanded role as he leads Lyari, a development briefly hinted at in the teaser.
The first film in the franchise, Dhurandhar, emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2025, raising expectations for the sequel. Directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, the second part is reportedly set to be one of the longest Hindi films ever made. Its tentative runtime is said to be around 235 minutes, or three hours and 55 minutes, though official confirmation is awaited.
Last month, the Central Board of Film Certification cleared the first promotional teaser and granted it an A (Adults Only) certificate. The approved teaser runs for 1 minute and 48 seconds and suggests a continuation of the franchise’s intense action-driven tone.
The film is slated to release in theatres on March 19, 2026, and will face box office competition from Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, as well as Dacoit, featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur.
The ensemble cast of the sequel also includes R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun in key roles.
