Four masked guys in Madhya Pradesh gangraped a 90-year-old woman

A 90-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by four masked men in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa district, prompting authorities to initiate an intensive investigation. Police confirmed on Saturday that a Special Investigation Team has been constituted to probe the incident and trace those responsible.

The survivor sustained injuries during the assault and is currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital. Officials stated that her condition is stable and she is out of danger.

According to police, the incident occurred on Thursday night when the woman was alone inside her hut located in an agricultural field in her village, approximately 55 kilometres from the district headquarters. The accused allegedly entered the premises and sexually assaulted her.

The woman informed her daughter, who resides in another village, about the incident the following morning. Her daughter subsequently brought her to the district hospital for medical care and evaluation.

Hospital authorities advised the family to approach law enforcement to file a formal complaint, following which police registered a case.

He added that a Special Investigation Team led by an additional superintendent of police has been formed, and three dedicated teams have been deployed to identify and apprehend the suspects. Police have also announced a reward of ₹10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the accused. Investigations are ongoing.
