Iran responds to a new round of missiles fired at Israel by writing Thank You India

During the ongoing conflict in West Asia, visuals have surfaced showing personnel from Iran’s Aerospace Force writing messages of gratitude on missiles before launch, including notes thanking the people of India. These messages, written in English, were part of a broader pattern in which similar expressions of appreciation were directed toward populations in other countries such as Spain, Pakistan, and Germany, indicating an attempt to communicate symbolic support or acknowledgement beyond formal state channels.

The emergence of such messaging appears to be connected to recent developments that have highlighted relatively positive engagement between India and Iran during the crisis. One significant factor has been Iran’s decision to allow Indian vessels safe passage through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, even as restrictions have been placed on ships associated with certain other nations. Iranian officials have described India as a friendly country in this context, suggesting a level of diplomatic consideration amid the tensions.

Another important dimension is the humanitarian response seen from within India. In several regions, particularly in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, people have organised donation drives to support civilians affected by the conflict. These efforts have included contributions in the form of money, jewellery, household items, and other essentials. Stories of individuals making deeply personal sacrifices, such as donating long-preserved valuables, have gained attention and have been acknowledged by Iranian diplomatic representatives.

Additionally, there have been instances where children have contributed their personal savings to support affected communities, reflecting a broader emotional and humanitarian connection that extends beyond official policy. Such gestures have been publicly recognised and appreciated by Iranian missions, further reinforcing the narrative of goodwill at the civilian level.

At the same time, this development underscores the delicate position India occupies in the current geopolitical landscape. While there is visible humanitarian sympathy among sections of the population and continued engagement with Iran, India also maintains significant strategic and diplomatic relationships with other global powers involved in the conflict. As a result, it continues to emphasise the importance of dialogue, de-escalation, and peaceful resolution, while carefully balancing multiple interests in an increasingly complex international environment.
