Under the guise of healing her son, a UP clergyman and a drug lady raped her and were jailed

A serious criminal case has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur, where a woman has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a cleric and his associate inside mosque premises after being drugged. According to her complaint, the incident took place on April 15 and began when she was approached with the promise of treatment for her child’s health issues.

The woman stated that she was taken to the mosque by an aide of the cleric, who convinced her that a religious healer could ensure her child’s well-being. Once there, she alleged that both she and her son were given water that had been laced with sedatives. After consuming it, they reportedly lost consciousness. She further claimed that during this period, the accused assaulted her and also recorded the act, later threatening to circulate the video if she reported the crime.

She initially alleged that her complaint was not acted upon by local police and that she faced pressure to remain silent. However, after approaching a senior police official, she was assured that the matter would be investigated properly. Following this intervention, authorities registered the case and arrested the two accused, identified as Maulvi Junaid and Nadeem.

According to police sources, the accused have been taken into custody and questioned. Preliminary findings suggest that after the woman lost consciousness, she was moved to a room near the mosque where the alleged assault took place. Investigators are now examining all aspects of the case, including the alleged use of sedatives, the circumstances under which the woman was brought to the location, and the claim regarding video recording.

The case is being treated as a serious offence involving sexual assault, criminal intimidation, and possible use of intoxicating substances. Authorities are expected to gather medical evidence, forensic data, and witness statements as part of the ongoing investigation. Further legal action will depend on the findings as the probe progresses.
