After a fight with his mother, a UP man commits himself by hanging himself

A tragic incident in Etawah has left two members of a family dead after what police describe as a sequence of suicides triggered by a domestic dispute. A 21-year-old man, identified as Vivek Kumar, allegedly consumed poison following an argument with his mother. Authorities said his mother, 55-year-old Guddi Devi, later took her own life after discovering his body at their residence.

According to police, the woman was overwhelmed after finding her son unresponsive and allegedly hanged herself using a saree. Preeti Sengar confirmed that both bodies were recovered and sent for post-mortem examination after standard legal procedures were completed. Officials have stated that an investigation is ongoing to establish the full sequence of events.

In a separate case reported from Sultanpur, a 14-year-old student named Rehan, who studied at a local madrassa, was found dead after allegedly hanging himself inside a room at a mosque. The incident came to light when people arrived for afternoon prayers and discovered the body, leading to panic in the area.

Police said the boy had earlier attended prayers and returned home before going back to the mosque, where the incident occurred. Officers reached the scene, brought the body down with assistance from locals, and sent it for post-mortem examination. Hrithik Kapoor stated that the exact cause of death would be confirmed after medical reports, and further legal proceedings are underway.
