Twisha Sharma wanted to unwind in her final hours before passing away, according to the parlor owner

Hours before she was found dead at her marital home in Bhopal, model-turned-actor Twisha Sharma reportedly spent nearly three hours at a beauty parlour near her residence, where she appeared calm, relaxed, and interacted normally with staff members, according to the salon owner. The revelations regarding her final known movements have added further attention to the ongoing dowry death investigation surrounding her case.

An India Today TV team reportedly visited the parlour where Twisha had gone on May 12 and attempted to reconstruct the timeline of her last few hours before her death. According to parlour owner Kiran, Twisha arrived at the salon at approximately 3 pm and remained there until shortly after 6 pm while availing several grooming and relaxation services.

Kiran stated that Twisha appeared emotionally normal during the visit and specifically mentioned that she wanted to “relax.”

“She appeared normal that day and told us, I want to relax,” Kiran said while describing her interaction with the actor.

According to the salon owner, Twisha underwent multiple services during her stay, including a head oil massage, pedicure treatments, and skin-related grooming procedures.

Kiran further stated that Twisha behaved naturally throughout the visit and casually interacted with salon staff while a film was playing inside the parlour. She reportedly discussed movies with employees and asked them about their favourite films.

“She was talking to the staff about movies and asking which films they liked. Nothing about her behaviour suggested she would take such a step,” Kiran said.

The parlour owner described Twisha Sharma as warm, polite, and soft-spoken, adding that she was a regular customer who usually visited the salon roughly once every month because it was located close to her home.

Kiran also disclosed that she first became aware of Twisha’s death through a phone call allegedly made by Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, on May 13.

According to Kiran, Giribala Singh contacted her to ask detailed questions regarding Twisha’s visit to the salon, including the exact timing of her arrival, the services she received, and the duration of her stay.

“She asked me what time Twisha came, what services she took and how long she stayed,” Kiran reportedly said.

The salon owner additionally claimed that a day after Twisha’s death, five unidentified men visited the parlour and questioned her regarding the incident. Kiran said she believed the men were lawyers because they were dressed in white shirts and black coats.

According to her account, the men also requested access to the salon’s CCTV footage connected to Twisha’s visit.

Twisha Sharma, who originally belonged to Noida, was found hanging at her in-laws’ residence located in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal on May 12.

Her death has since developed into a high-profile and controversial case involving allegations of dowry harassment, counterclaims regarding alleged drug addiction, legal disputes, and demands for an independent investigation.

Twisha’s family has accused her husband, Samarth Singh, and his family of mentally harassing her over dowry demands and allegedly driving her to suicide.

Meanwhile, her in-laws have reportedly claimed that Twisha was struggling with drug addiction, a claim strongly disputed by her family.

Following her death, Bhopal police registered an FIR against Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh under provisions related to dowry death, cruelty by husband or relatives, and common intention under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with sections of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Samarth Singh, who is the son of retired judge and former Bhopal Consumer Court chairperson Giribala Singh, later surrendered before a court in Jabalpur and was subsequently brought to Bhopal early on Saturday morning.

Police officials are expected to seek his custodial remand for further questioning as the investigation progresses.

The case witnessed major legal developments on Friday after the Madhya Pradesh High Court ordered that a second autopsy be conducted by a specialised medical team from AIIMS Delhi.

During the same court proceedings, Samarth Singh reportedly withdrew his anticipatory bail plea. Authorities also initiated action seeking cancellation of Giribala Singh’s anticipatory bail, alleging non-cooperation with investigators.

Meanwhile, Twisha Sharma’s family has demanded an independent inquiry into a series of phone calls allegedly made by Giribala Singh shortly after the actor’s death. According to the family, the calls were allegedly placed to influential individuals within the judiciary as well as CCTV technicians.

The Madhya Pradesh Government has already recommended a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the matter.

As investigators continue examining Twisha Sharma’s final movements, phone records, CCTV footage, medical evidence, and statements from family members and witnesses, the case has drawn widespread public attention and intensified debate around dowry harassment, domestic abuse allegations, and the handling of high-profile investigations involving influential families.
