As Maa Inti Bangaaram makes Rs 25 crore globally, Nayanthara applauds Samantha


Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s film Maa Inti Bangaaram has opened strongly at the worldwide box office, earning over ₹25 crore in its first two days after release. The action-comedy marks Samantha’s return to theatres after a gap of three years and has also received public appreciation from actor Nayanthara, who congratulated her on social media and expressed happiness over the film’s success.

Following the positive response, Samantha shared a message thanking audiences for embracing the film, noting that its strong opening felt humbling and encouraging, especially as it appeared to be supported by viewers across age groups and with significant participation from women audiences. She also highlighted the changing nature of theatrical consumption, suggesting that audience preferences are becoming more diverse and less dependent on traditional viewing patterns.

Box office estimates indicate that the film continued its momentum on the second day, collecting around ₹12.85 crore net in India and approximately ₹4 crore overseas on that day alone, taking its global total to around ₹25.5 crore. The film is directed by Nandini Reddy and revolves around a woman who enters a traditional household with hidden secrets from her past, which later resurface and force her to protect her new family.
