CCTV shows a Gujarati kid driving a car into a scooter and launching the rider into the air

In Gujarat’s Rajkot, a 17-year-old allegedly driving a speeding car rammed into a scooter on Sunday morning, leaving a 44-year-old man critically injured.

According to police, the incident took place around 8 am when a group of five minors had gone out in a car for a yoga session. On their return, the 17-year-old was reportedly behind the wheel. CCTV footage of the accident, which has since circulated widely on social media, shows the car losing control after crossing a junction and hitting a scooter being ridden by Ramesh Kumar.

The impact of the collision was severe, throwing the scooter rider several metres into the air before he fell onto the road. The car did not stop immediately after the crash and continued at high speed before eventually hitting a roadside tree, while the scooter was left heavily damaged.

Police said Kumar suffered serious head injuries and is currently in critical condition, receiving treatment at Sterling Hospital in Rajkot.

Officials stated that an FIR will be registered against the minor’s father, and legal action will also be taken against the owner of the vehicle, who is reportedly a friend of the teenager involved in the incident.
