Actor-director Kunal Kemmu has shared updates on two of his most anticipated projects, confirming that both Golmaal 5 and Madgaon Express 2 are moving forward.
Speaking about Golmaal 5, Kunal revealed that filming is currently underway. He described returning to the franchise and reconnecting with the cast as a nostalgic experience, expressing hope that the latest instalment will live up to fans' expectations. The popular comedy series, directed by Rohit Shetty, has been entertaining audiences for nearly two decades.
Kunal also confirmed that a sequel to Madgaon Express is in development. The actor said he has already written the script for the follow-up to his successful directorial debut, though the project is still some time away from production.
Addressing speculation about his future after stepping into directing, Kunal clarified that acting remains his first love. He said he never intended to move away from acting and continues to balance both careers, with acting projects such as Single Papa and his upcoming film Vibe keeping him busy.
Kunal is also exploring a new avenue as the host of the reality show The Alliance. He said he was initially surprised when the makers approached him for the role, but appreciated their desire to try something different rather than choosing a conventional television host.
