What is the number of actors in Welcome to the Jungle? Ahmed Khan discloses the number

Director Ahmed Khan has spoken about the large-scale production of Welcome To The Jungle (2026), starring Akshay Kumar, describing it as one of the most logistically demanding films he has worked on due to its massive ensemble cast of 34 actors spanning multiple generations.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said there were days when as many as 30 actors were on set simultaneously. With each actor accompanied by a small personal team of around five people, this alone accounted for nearly 150 individuals, in addition to a production crew of roughly 200 members.

He added that the numbers increased further when stunt teams, action performers, horsemen, 150–200 background artists, and large dance groups were included, taking the total on-set population on certain days to around 700–900 people.

Khan described the filming process as being similar to organising a large daily event or music concert. He explained that the production required multiple large adjoining grounds just to accommodate the shoot, along with space for around 50 vanity vans, holding areas for background artists, and separate cabins for the main crew. He also noted the logistical challenge of managing transport, with hundreds of vehicles arriving each day, including cars for actors, technicians, and support staff.

Despite the scale and pressure of the shoot, Khan said the actors worked cooperatively throughout. He noted that there were no major ego clashes or conflicts on set, and that the team managed to maintain a smooth working environment despite extreme heat, tight schedules, and complex coordination requirements.

The film released theatrically on June 26, 2026, and features a large ensemble cast including Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Aftab Shivdasani, Mukesh Tiwari, and others, along with several supporting performers and special appearances.

The production is co-produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Rakesh Dang, and Vedant Vikaas Baali.
