A man in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district was injured after falling from the first-floor balcony of his home while attempting to buy ice cream from a vendor passing by on the street below.
The incident, which was recorded on CCTV, occurred when the man noticed the ice cream seller from his balcony and decided to purchase some ice cream. Instead of coming downstairs, he called the vendor over and asked him to pass the ice cream up from the road.
As the vendor stretched upward to hand over the ice cream and the man leaned over the balcony railing to receive it, he reportedly lost his balance and plunged to the ground.
The fall caused alarm among family members and local residents, who immediately rushed to assist him. He was later taken to a hospital for treatment and is currently receiving medical care. According to the police, his condition is stable.
Addressing the viral video of the incident, Sonbhadra Police stated that the injured man is undergoing treatment at a hospital and that the situation remains under control, with no law-and-order concerns arising from the incident.
What started as an ordinary attempt to buy ice cream quickly turned into a serious accident, though the man fortunately survived the fall.
