A automobile struck ten pedestrians in Navi Mumbai, killing one person, and the driver fled


One person was killed and nearly 12 others were injured after a speeding electric car allegedly went out of control and caused a major hit-and-run accident in Navi Mumbai before the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

The incident occurred in the Taloja Phase 1 area. According to preliminary information, the electric car first crashed into four to five vehicles travelling on the road, causing extensive damage.

One person died at the scene, while around 12 others sustained serious injuries in the collision.

Following the crash, the driver allegedly fled the spot, leaving the damaged vehicle behind.

Police have launched a search operation to trace the accused. The exact circumstances leading to the accident are yet to be determined and remain under investigation.

Several videos of the incident have surfaced on social media, capturing the aftermath of the crash and the extent of the damage. The accident caused panic among people in the area.

Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the incident and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.

Authorities are yet to establish the exact cause of the accident, and further investigation is in progress.
